Twins get identical results

TWINS Hayley and Nicola Moore were forced to do a double take when they collected their Leaving Certificate results yesterday.
Not only did the Kerry students secure 555 points each, they got the same grades in the same subjects.
And now they are looking forward to registering for the same four-year occupational therapy course at University College Cork.
The 19-year-old students at Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School, Tralee, said they were pleasantly surprised with their results.
"We didn’t expect to get that number of points. We were just hoping to get enough points for our course, but it’s great. We’re delighted," said Nicola.
The daughters of John and Gemma Moore from Kilfenora in Fenit got A1 grades in accounting and business and A2 grades in Irish, English and biology.
The students were described as brilliant all-rounders by principal John O’Roarke. "What they’ve achieved is extraordinary. They’ve been very dedicated, hard-working students. They put a huge amount of energy into their lives in the school," he said.
