CIMA Business Schools Regional Final
Congratulations to our Business Studies Team: Diarmuid Moriarty, Kelly Brosnan, Grace Egan and Enda Sugrue, who will represent our school in the National Final in Limerick, after winning the Regional Final in CIT, Cork. Over 50 Teams participated in the event, so it is a marvellous victory for the team!

The TY Fashion Show
The TY fashion show, helmed this year by Ms. Hunt, was called "Icons of Fashion". As always this event was an enormous success and a huge thanks must be given to all the TY students, teachers and shops for all the effort put into creating a wonderful night.

TY Students explore the dangers of fluoridation
An information talk was held in the Carlton Hotel, concerning the mandatory fluoridation of Ireland's water supply. The evening was organised by the "would you Pay for poison?" TY group as part of their YSI project.

Well done to Mountawk’s Under-16 girls team on their victory over Listowel, winning by 12 points and reaching the cup semi final.

Hard Luck to our Concern Debating team who were narrowly defeated by Hazelwood College by a 2:1 Majority. A brilliant performance by the team and no doubt they will bounce back for the next round.

An unbelievable win today by Mounthawk's Under-19 girls, beating hot favourites, St Vincent’s, in a blow out by 30 points. Our top scorers were: Laura Hoffman 24 Laura Rogers24 and Deirdre Kearney with 21. Well done to all the Girls!

Well done under 19 boys on a great victory over St Nathy’s 90 to 40. Top Scorers were: Cillian Fitzgerald 22, Darragh O Hanlon 18, Michael O Leary 10. well done to all the team Shane Crowley, Sean Dowling, Cian Sayers, Cathal Rogers, Liam O Herlihy,Jack Mac, Patrick McCarthy, Sean Murphy, Ciaran O Rourke, Arron O Shea and Ryan.

Well done to Mounthawk Under-16s who beat Castleisland and Killorgan today in the first round of the Kerry League. Strong play by Captains Sean Dowling and Tommy Sheehy, helped by Cathal Rogers, Liam Herlihy and Garry Fernane lead to a great team victory.

ALL-IRELAND CHAMPIONS
Mercy Mounthawk athletes competed in the All Ireland Track and Field Championships in Tullamore on Saturday June 5th.
The team brought four medals home to Kerry and won the Intermediate Boys’ Shield.

The Transition Year end of year show and awards night was held in Siamse Tíre on Friday the 28th. Conor Nolan and Cassandra McElligott received the ‘Students of the year Award’ for their outstanding contribution to and involvement with T.Y. and the school over the past year.
The Awards Night was held in the school on Tuesday night May 11th. The two major awards of the night were presented to Patrick Flanagan (Catherine McAuley Award) and to Rosie O’Dowd (Principal’s Award).
Our Senior Soccer Team are Kerry Champions, after defeating Millstreet 4-1.
Our TY group "Emotion Promotion" are Silver Award Winners in the Young Social Innovators competition.
