It has been a busy term for our German Department. In September we welcomed Isabel Lucas our German assistant from Hamburg. Isabel works with students from all years and runs a German club on Fridays for junior cycle students.
In November we collaborated with the Spanish department for a presentation to leaving certs on “Dia de las Muertes” the much celebrated Mexican festival.
Four fifth year students took part in the “Juvenes Translatores ” translating competition run by the European Commission. We were 1 of 11 Irish schools selected from over 1800 European applicants and we await the results in Feburary. The students who took part were
